New Lyfe began as a publishing company in 2019. The company's mission was to create thought-provoking literature reflective of street realities. A change took place late 2022 with the creation of Last Ride: The Saga of Bills Billups, Street Nigga. Author Derrick Simmons decided to do something new. What exactly was it? He decided to give the book its own soundtrack! The Last Ride Soundtrack: Deluxe Edition is available on all streaming platforms.

2023 came with its own surprises. Mr. Simmons created a movie script from a previously published short story. The fruit of this endeavor is the highly anticipated film entitled Unfulfilled. The movie is scheduled to premiere 1/25/2025 at The Capitol Theatre in Bowling Green, KY. Tickets are available here
